| When we were initially describing to Klein what we wanted in a home, Amy and I pointed out several examples from homes in the area. I guess it was a lock when Klein pointed out, to our surprise, that he built nearly every one of them. We couldn’t be happier with the result. He took our plans and built exactly what we wanted and the quality is top notch. The bottom line is we plan on raising our boys in this house, but if we were ever to build again, we would be calling Klein.

| We definitely made the right decision when we chose Klein Miller and Old South Construction to rebuild our home that had been destroyed by Hurricane Ivan! We feel our new house is extremely well built and will be able to withstand any other storm that may hit the Gulf Coast. | It is time to tell you how very much we have enjoyed building our beautiful home with you. One of the most fortunate events of early 2007 was our residential designer, who designed our previous home which we lost in Ivan, suggesting that we would enjoy meeting you. It was “love at first site” that is after we checked your references and found every one not only satisfied but very complimentary. Carol loves this house and says so at every opportunity and I do too! As a former general contractor and professional engineer I may be a little more demanding than the average bear, but you held up well: thanks to some of the best subs and suppliers it has been my pleasure to know. We had no arguments, no disputes and very little shouting and screaming. Completion was timely…..good planning, scheduling and cooperation works that way. We have tried to thank everyone who participated for making it a fun experience…that’s a first for several previous homes we have built including those by me. | As a previous building inspector and contractor, I believe I am able to recognize quality construction when I see it. Klein Miller is one of the most particular contractors I have ever met, both in the materials he uses and the subcontractors he hires. He also believes in finishing a job promptly once he starts it. Although he originally estimated it would take a year to build, he completed it in only eight months, and this was immediately after Hurricane Ivan when subs were scarce. He also built the house within the original cost estimate. Our house is a two story four bedroom brick house with approximately 4500 square feet of living space. It has an elevator, swimming pool and large detached workshop. The other day, someone made the statement to me that he didn’t know anyone who was still on speaking terms with his contractor after having a house built. I informed him that he was wrong. If I were planning on having a new house built, I would use Klein Miller again.

We lived in El Paso, TX and only visited the construction site maybe three times from start to finish. | Everyone who has built a house will tell you, at least in retrospect, that the two most important attributes of a quality homebuilder are honesty and expertise. One without the other just won’t cut it. Old South completed our home in 2004, and it has weathered two hurricanes since with flying colors. Building a home can be a challenging experience.
